PROUD of our Visual Arts Jack Petchey Winner

The Visual Arts Department are extremely PROUD of our Jack Petchey winner, Ioana in Year 9. Ioana has won this prestigious award for her consistently exceptional artwork, with sweeping wins in several school art competitions including the Black Excellence Portrait Competition and the Christmas Card Design Competition. Ioana even produces artwork for her teachers and is yet to accept any rewards for her work!

Ioana is a fantastic example of an exceptional art and design student. The time and effort she puts into her work will undoubtedly pay off with success in her GCSE Art & Design from next year, and hopefully beyond.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.
