The House System

When you join Eastbrook, you will be assigned to one of our four Houses.

Red House.

Hawk at Secondary. Johnson at Primary.

Blue House.

Bear at Secondary. Einstein at Primary.

Green House.

Alligator at Secondary. Curie at Primary.

Yellow House.

Lion at Secondary. Hawking at Primary.

House Points are collected and tallied towards an all through school total.

Throughout your time with us you will take part in a variety of physical, academic, creative and scholarly activities that will contribute towards the success of your House.

We believe that a House system is essential in developing a sense of belonging, building a sense of community and encouraging ownership and accountability of our actions. All members of the school community, including teaching and support staff, are assigned to a House.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.

Eastbrook is a thriving and growing community school, welcoming students from a broad range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and in terms of need.
