Eastbrook Inspires at the Powerhouse Games

Students from the SLCN ARP once again represented Eastbrook at this year’s Power to Inspire sports festival that took place at Becontree Leisure Centre. Our students competed alongside other schools in the borough in various games such as: seated volleyball, seated netball, boccia, new age curling, goal ball and walking football.

Our students' sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play shone through the whole event. They worked hard as a team to secure a medal. Demonstrating the PROUD values at the heart of our school.

It was a fantastic day, and we are so PROUD of our students here at the SLCN ARP.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.

Eastbrook is a thriving and growing community school, welcoming students from a broad range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and in terms of need.
