Successful Shape Work in Maths

Students in Year 6 have been learning about shapes in Maths this week. They have learnt about the properties of 2D shapes: how many sides each shape has, if they are regular/irregular, the size of the angles etc. and the properties of 3D shapes such as the number of vertices, edges and faces each shape has. Students took part in quizzes and games to help learn about shapes. They finished the week by constructing 3D shapes from nets, some that they drew and designed themselves. Well done Year 6s – we are PROUD!

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family.
