Eastbrook Sociology Studies
Students had a session with an external visitor who is a dedicated advocate specialising in sexual violence and domestic abuse. Her insightful presentation was closely aligned with our Sociology unit on the "dark side of the family," providing real-world context to the theoretical concepts we have been exploring.
We are PROUD that the students demonstrated remarkable engagement throughout the session, eagerly participating in discussions and asking brilliant questions regarding the steps and qualifications of her job role, as well as the essential skills required for such advocacy work. Miss Katonia was particularly impressed with the students' behaviour and their ability to take ownership of the session was commendable, reflecting their maturity and commitment to understanding complex social issues.
