Celebrating Our Mathematicians

11 Mar

At Eastbrook School, we take pride in celebrating our students' achievements, and one of the highlights of our weekly assemblies is the Mathematician of the Week award. This initiative is designed to recognise students who have demonstrated exceptional effort, creativity, and improvement in their mathematics studies.

Each week, mathematics teachers nominate students who have shown dedication, resilience, and outstanding problem-solving skills as evidenced in their Learning Journals. The selected winners receive a special certificate and are publicly recognised in our school assemblies, inspiring their peers to engage deeply with the subject.

But Mathematician of the Week is more than just an award—it's about fostering a culture of growth, motivation, and confidence in mathematics. By celebrating the hard work and perseverance of our students, we aim to encourage everyone to take on new challenges, develop their problem-solving abilities, and see mathematics as a subject where they can truly excel.

We are PROUD of our Eastbrook Mathematicians!
