On Thursday 11th July Year 8 History students participated in a pilot workshop with Historic Royal Palaces at Kensington Palace. The session explored Queen Victoria’s relationship with India, the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the British Empire.
The workshop took place in various locations within Kensington Palace including the bedroom of Princess Victoria, the room in which she received the news of her ascension to the throne. This historic setting was an amazing backdrop for Eastbrook Students to explore the relationship between Queen Victoria and India. It was a wonderful opportunity for Eastbrook Students.
