Safeguarding at Eastbrook

Eastbrook School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This means that we have a comprehensive Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and strong procedures in place which we refer to in our prospectus and here on our web site. All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) ensure that they are aware of these procedures.

Parents and carers are encouraged to read the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy which can be found alongside all school policies here. We are committed to working in partnership and share relevant information with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our students are discussed with parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to their welfare. Our Designated Safeguarding Officer is Cherelle Hinds, who works closely with the Headteacher, Paul Frith and the Designated Governor for Safeguarding, Gill Ellis.
